Performing

Performing our favourite songs

Our first performance was in July 2018, at the St Lawrence Church Jubilee Party held in the grounds of Holly House in the High Street, Long Buckby. The Group played a variety of numbers, and provided the audience with song sheets to sing along. It was agreed by all that the performance was a great success.

Every other year, On the August Bank Holiday Monday the village holds the Buckby Feast. As well as fun stalls and a social gathering, local groups are invited to entertain. The Long Buckby Ukulele Group was invited to perform at the 2018 Bucky Feast, held on the village Sports Fields.

The Group have also performed at other charity and Community events, including a regular spot in the Long Buckby Busker's Evening in the United reform Church Hall.

Since April 2020 the Group have been joining together on Zoom each week - keeping in touch, swapping songs and playing along together.

Like many music and performance groups we are looking forward to when we can all play alongside each other again!
